We’re happy you’ve chosen Uncle Rudy’s to handle your firearm transfer! Here’s what you need to know to make this process as seamless as possible…
For our Customers:
We don’t accept private party transfers from internet sales. That means if the seller does NOT have an FFL, we won’t be able to help you. We only accept private party sales if the seller shows up in PERSON. This way we can physically match the face with the ID, and protect you as much as possible from a fraudulent transaction. So, make sure the seller has an FFL prior to having them ship to us!
For the FFL:
Per ATF rules and our company policy, we require all FFL’s to contact us prior to sending us firearms unless you have a pre-existing agreement with us authorizing blanket shipments. FFL’s will be verified prior to us responding with our FFL certificate.
When shipping the firearm, make sure you enclose a copy of your FFL along with an invoice that shows appropriate customer information and details about the specific firearm (make, model, serial number).
How to Contact Us:
To contact us to obtain our FFL, email us at store@unclerudys.com Please include the first three digits of your FFL and last 5 so we can look you up! As soon as we’ve verified your information, we’ll send you our FFL via email.
Costs for Transfers:
We charge $20 for each firearm transfer of Handguns, Long Guns, and Others.
If we need to ship a firearm on behalf of a customer, we charge actual shipping plus 15% handling fee (this covers our time and credit card fees).
